When I first sat down to watch Natascha Nikeprelevic sing, I have to admit, I didn’t know what I was in for. I found myself sitting there slack-jawed at her incredible performance. She’s what you call an overtone singer.
An overtone singer is able to manipulate the resonances created as air travels through the lungs, past the vocal cords, and then out the lips where the second pitch is created.
The result of all this is an other-worldly sounding tone that sends chills down your spine. I want to play this the next time I meditate!
