Speaking to local ABC media, Donald Gould said that he was really just trying to “make a couple dollars and get tips, I didn’t expect it to jump out to this.”

“I might not do the whole song complete as it was recorded originally, but I know enough to touch people out here -‘cause I’ve touched a lot of people, apparently,” Gould told reporters.

Gould would go on to reveal that after his wife passed away, he turned to substance abuse to cope, lost his job, and became jobless. Now that his story has gone viral, job offers are coming in for him. With any luck, Gould will be back on track in no time at all.
