Alright, maybe your head won’t explode, but any do-it-yourselfer out there is going to kick themselves for not thinking of something like this way sooner.
Facebook user Torben Jung dreamed of having a pool, but he didn’t want to shell out the cash necessary for a big, backyard pool. Instead, he grabbed some old pallets he found online and used a video to show him how to construct his own swimming pool with just a few pallets. People are even making emergency homes from pallets!
That’s one heck of a view, isn’t it? All together, the cost of the pool, the pallets, the lining, and the second layer of water-proof lining, cost considerably less than a brand new swimming pool would have. According to Jung, the entire thing cost him about $77. Not bad for an entire pool, huh? You can even make it a little bit smaller if you have young kids who need something more shallow.
