The partial eclipse then begins at 4:09 a.m. ET, which will look like a part of the moon, is missing to the naked eye. Then the whole lunar eclipse will be visible at 5:17 a.m. ET and will last for about an hour and a half.

The Blood moon will be visible on Nov. 8 for 85 minutes from North America, parts of South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
It should be visible to the naked eye, although going to darker parts will give you a better view. City lights tend to obscure the events of the night sky.
