Clue: Look To The Left

Have you ever wondered why most horror movies are set after nightfall? It’s because there’s something really creepy about the darkness. What lies within is unknown and taking away our full sight means that we have less powerful as we can’t prepare for what we can’t see ahead.

That’s why this image is extra creepy. All the lights were off but the flash of the camera revealed a girl peaking in the doorway on the left. Let’s just hope she actually lives there.

Clue: Look In The Back

While the park may not be the ideal photoshoot spot after dark, there’s a chance this person just wanted to capture a special moment. The girl is posing gently having no idea that a man with a striking resemblance to slender man is also at the park with her.

The man is standing completely straight, with a peeping small head that appears to have no features. Out of the space in the park, he chose to stand in the same row as the girl.

Clue: Look For A Reflection

We’ve all been a teenager at one point, wanting to impress and get the attention of the cute classmate we had a crush on. As time went on and cameras became popular, teen girls started innocently taking selfies hoping that posting them would catch a special someone’s attention. What this girl didn’t expect was that she wasn’t only capturing herself in that selfie

If you look in the reflection of the handheld mirror to her left by her elbow, some creepy man also wanted in on the fun.

Clue: Look For Symmetry 

You may think at first that nothing is wrong with the picture on the left. At first glance, it just looks like a man and his wife wanted to take a selfie before heading out.

But if you look closer, specifically at their reflection on the door you’ll notice that the woman is looking both at the camera and into the reflection on the door at the same time! The only explanation is that she’s possessed and that is her demonic reflection.

Clue: Look Behind The Wall

No location is a better host for the ghosts of those who passed on then abandoned and destroyed places. A lot of the time the ghosts are of the very people who once lived in those places.

In this picture, you’ll find that behind all the rubble and broken walls at the very back center, a man appears to be standing. Whether he’s just a worker or a ghost is up to you.

Paranormal Encounter Or Camera Flashes?

So after testing your perception, do you believe that the eye can trick the mind or are we just against the idea of living amongst ghosts to protect ourselves? Ghost hunters are known for often using cameras to catch the ghostly figures that their naked eye misses. For example, they claim that orb-shaped visual artifacts appearing in pictures are actually spirits of the dead. They can even sometimes detect the kind of being and its intent based on the orbs’ movements.

Skeptics however say that capturing orbs and “ghosts” is just an illusion from insects, dust, pollen, or water droplets.

The Backscatter Photography Technique

You could actually recreate photos with apparent ghosts in them if you use the backscatter photography technique. This technique is also known as the “near camera reflection” and is an optical illusion caused by the camera’s flash reflecting off of dust or droplets. The result is a circular artifact on a picture that can really creep some people out.

While the effect can’t create full standing figures like some of the pictures on this list, it helps eliminate the illusions in other pictures.
