These incredible handcrafted serpentine lamps made by Vainius Kubilius doesn’t simply light the space in which it occupies but it transforms the entire atmosphere of a room. The carvings cast elongated patterns on the walls, ceiling, and floors. Each lamp is made from cork, suede, and coconuts.
The coconut is the head of each lamp with thousands of tiny holes drilled in, allowing light to spill out in various patterns.
Kubilius was inspired by Przemek Krawczński who carves lamps out of gourds in dazzling patterns. You can see more of Kubilius’ lamps at his Etsy shop.
