Animal abuse found in Quebec is starting to dwindle with their new bill, issued in 2015, stating that animals are now to be considered as “sentient beings” opposed to being labeled as property.

As people would know that the Canadian province of Quebec has been boasted as the sanctuary of puppy mills. The new bill states:

“Animals are not things. They are sentient beings and have biological needs.”

It is important to mention that this legislation applies to literally ALL domesticated/farm animals and even certain wild animals. This means that people will no longer be able to abuse their goldfish without a reprimand.

The power that inspectors have now has been amplified so that they can demand to see for themselves if an animal is being treated properly and must testify their “reasonable cause” for having the animal in the first place.

Even with these new found powers, inspectors still need to provide a warrant before seizing any animals at all.

People that abuse animals as well as their rights in Quebec can now face 18 months in prison. Information provided by CBC News suggests that Agriculture Minister Pierre Paradis was the prime suspect for bringing up the bill in the first place

Well, not just him. Him and a variety of other animal rights activists showed up as well. This was enough to provoke the inspiration that injustices committed against all kinds of species around the world is one hundred percent wrong.

Paradis brings to the table a very simple solution as to how the country can avoid obtaining some of these harsh consequences to animal abuse. He claims:

“If you have a goldfish you have to take care of it. Don’t get a goldfish if you don’t want to take care of it.”

This is a huge step for mankind into accepting the world for what it is: a huge big ball of love! Every animal and creature needs some loving from the humans and now is the time to demonstrate just how thankful we really are to have them in our world!
