When a man doesn’t seem like he’s working very hard to get you, it’s easy to make excuses. Most of these excuses tend to be along the lines of “He likes me, but…”
This kind of thinking may be comforting, but it usually isn’t true. In general, when a man isn’t coming on strong, it’s because he just isn’t that interested.
You’re not too much woman for him. He’s not intimidated or nervous or shy. He just doesn’t like you enough to put himself out there.
Men are natural pursuers. Since the beginnings of human society, it has been the job of men to pursue things – food, land, wealth – while women gather things and people to them.
The instinct still runs strong in today’s man. Whether or not he knows why, he loves to chase what he wants.

This is particularly true when it comes to relationships. If a man wants to be with a woman, he will pursue her, and he will keep pursuing her as long as possible.
If he knows that you’re into him and he’s not acting on that knowledge, he doesn’t share your feelings. Of course, he probably won’t say it to your face.
He might try to spare your feelings and say that he’s busy at work, that he has family responsibilities… when a man isn’t interested, there are almost countless excuses that he can think up.
When he meets a woman that he likes, though, these excuses go out the window.
Men are straightforward creatures. They’re not into meta-messages or playing hard to get. If they want something, they show it, and they don’t let anything get in the way.

If he’s making excuses, that’s all they are. Excuses. If it looks like he doesn’t care, then he doesn’t. This may sound harsh, but you are strong enough to hear it.
You are strong enough to walk away from a man who isn’t interested, and you are too valuable to wait around for a man who’s never really coming. You deserve better.
When you set yourself free from these wishy-washy excuse makers, you make yourself available for a real man who genuinely wants to be with you.
This kind of man will do everything that he can to show you how much he cares.
He will call you and make the time to see you whenever he can. He will say wonderful and kind things about you, hold your hand when you go out, and look for chances to kiss you.
He won’t play games or make you wonder where you stand. You will know that you matter to him. He will make you a priority.
