There are times in our relationship when we might start to ask ourselves just how happy we would be if we weren’t with this specific person anymore.

Love is a very tricky concept. You really have to start weighing the pros and cons of a relationship, especially if you’re telling yourself that you’d be better off alone than being with this person you used to call “home”.

It may be a hard thing to admit to yourself at first, but you may have to consider these four blunt reasons why it may be better for you to leave someone that truly doesn’t deserve you.

1. Diminish Your Self-Esteem

If your relationship has begun to slowly diminish your self-esteem simply because the other person does not have anything positive to say about you or the things you’re doing, then it may be time for you to consider leaving this person and finding your own way in life once more.

You do not need to be around someone who is constantly making you feel like dirt.

Chances are the reason they are doing this to you in the first place is because they are feeling like dirt themselves. If you’ve already talked about what you can or can’t do for each other, then it may be time to move on.

2. Reset Your Priorities

If you’ve already begun the process of leaving your relationship, then being alone gives you the perfect chance to reset your priorities in the world.

You can begin to focus on what really needs to start happening in your life in order for you to be happy once again. Your happiness is the only thing that’s important at this moment in time.

You must do everything in your power to go out there and get it. Find the joy in your life again, have meaning, feel the air in your lungs, and begin your freedom.

3. Dwelling On The Past

Do not dwell on the past of your relationship together; this will hinder your process in moving on from something that was extremely toxic to you.

You may feel a lot of regret for wasting so much time on that person. You should instead think of all the new adventures that you are going to experience as you embark on your life without them.

You can do anything you want and if you are still dwelling on the past, then you are not fully living in the present moment.

4. Energy Vampires

If the person you are with is constantly draining you of all the energy you have, then it may be time for you to consider being alone for a while.

You will need to recuperate your deprived body of all the energy you lost to the emotions you suffered from this person who doesn’t deserve you.

The healing process is going to be hard, do not get me wrong, but it is very crucial that you find motivation in your everyday life once more.

Hopefully this has helped you recognize when you are in a relationship with someone who truly doesn’t deserve you anymore.
