Taurus has a hard time letting go. The longer the relationship lasted, the more comfortable they got. This fixed earth sign is incredibly dedicated and devoted to their partner, even after they break up. Once they've given them their focus, they have a hard time shifting their attention away. They may eventually start a new routine without them, but they still maintain care and affection toward their exes.
Taurus is all about commitment and persistence, so just because a relationship didn't work out then, doesn't mean they're not willing to work on it now. A relationship won't work out a second time if nothing has changed. Change has to start on an individual level. You'll both need to assess whether you've taken the time to work on yourselves and whether you're in a place to fulfill each other's needs to the set standard.
You'll have to revisit the reasons why the relationship didn't work out in the first place and assess whether you've got the will and the tools to fix that this time around. It won't be easy but make sure you're not still holding grudges from the past.
