Together From The Beginning

The twin sisters have always been close. They loved to share everything from their clothes and the way they style their hair to their life decisions. They never wanted to be separated. However, their similarities don’t just stop at their appearance and lifestyle. The sisters managed to synchronize their pregnancies as well!

So how did they get two men to fall in love with them at the same time, propose at the same time and even want children at the same time? Love At First Festival

You’re probably thinking: “how can someone time love like this?” Well, it all started when Brittany and Briana met Josh and Jeremy, another set of twins, at a festival for twins in 2017. They all instantly fell in love and lived a whirlwind romance at the same time. Just six months later, both couples felt ready to take the next step and were engaged.

It turns out that the brothers were very similar to the sisters, in the sense that they always wanted to get married at the same time. Jeremy explains: “Me and Josh always knew we had to find our twins if we were going to get married — and we told each other that we’ll never be able to unless we find a set of twins that we could fall in love with and marry.” The pairing seemed perfect for all parties: ”We got lucky enough to find them, we couldn’t be happier.”

The sisters felt the same way, and were overjoyed that they found partners who loved to dress in identical outfits just like them. The four of them are often photographed in matching outfits.

They Hoped To Be Pregnant Together

It was no surprise then that the couples who vowed to get married at the same time and walked down the aisle on the same day in identical outfits as their twins, also hoped that they would all be pregnant at the same time. Despite pregnancies being somewhat outside of human control, they managed to succeed and shared the news of their pregnancies in a joined Baywatch-themed photoshoot.

Their post read: ‘Guess what!!?? BOTH couples are pregnant! We are thrilled and grateful to experience overlapping pregnancies and to share this news with you all.” It was like everything they had ever wished for was finally coming together. In an interview with Today Parents Brianna explained: “We were hoping that we would have overlapping pregnancies so that this would happen…We thought it would be really cool.”

The Babies Share A Rare Phenomenon: Both Siblings And Cousins

The twins gave birth to what is known as “quaternary twins” a phenomenon so rare, most people have never even heard of it. It only happens when two sets of identical twins pair up, and each set has babies at the same time. The identical twins share the same DNA, meaning that each set of twins has the same genetic codes that they pass on to their babies.

The parents were overjoyed when their babies were born. Jeremy wrote: “I am so proud of my beautiful wife, Briana, and how well she did. She was so strong and brave and did an amazing job. I am thankful that our boys will grow up together!”. Then just 3 months later when the second of siblings had their child, they proudly also announced: “Brittany did wonderfully in delivery. I am so proud of them and excited to be Jett’s dad!”

Everyone Shares The Same DNA!

The Salyers are fully well aware that they have a pretty unique living arrangement but they embrace it. In fact, it’s what makes them happy. Just because it’s different, doesn’t make it wrong. According to Briana, there have only been 300 or so “quaternary marriages” like theirs history of the world.

The parents only hope that their children will grow up to be just as close astheir parents are with both their sibling. and their sibling’s spouse.

What About The Husbands?

The husbands couldn’t be happier as well. In fact, this was all they ever wanted and the two families live happily under one roof in Virginia. Not only do they have a joint popular Instagram account, but also one bank account that they share and contribute to from the wedding venue site they all run together. Basically their lives couldn’t be more intertwined.

While Brianna explains that “dividing up the money’s not a problem'” the only issue is that they tend to run out of space and that “bedrooms and closets” have been “a huge, huge issue in this house”. Still, the family makes the best of it, and continues to live life exactly how they had hoped: ​“It was something we all four wanted and when we got engaged, we all wanted it that way,” shared Brittany, who added that Josh and Jeremy “understand the twin bond like we do” and enjoy all of the together time they get. We’re raising the kids together so it feels like just one family unit.”

One Big Happy Family

Being in such a unique situation comes at a cost. Not everyone is supportive of their lifestyle and many aren’t shy about voicing it. The foursome has spoken about the difficulties they’ve experienced admitting that “privacy is becoming an issue” And that’s only within their home.

The family gets flooded with unsolicited comments and opinions that aren’t very kind: “We try to ignore sociopathic stalker comments and just focus on the positive,” Brittany told Today in an interview. “Some people think we are really strange and others think it’s really amazing. We’ve got a lot of support and interest and we’ve been grateful for that.”

Happiness Is Unique To All

For now, the family doesn’t care too much about what others think and intends to live the way that makes them happy and is best for their children. After all, each child is now surrounded by double the love. It feels like one big family unit. Jeremy told Entertainment Tonight: “I feel like I’m Jett’s parent and I think [Josh] feels the same way about Jax.”

As for having more children we’ll just have to wait and see! “We are debating if we should go for one more pregnancy each or not,” admitted Briana. “We will make a decision pretty soon. The babies are still pretty young [and] we are trying to wait a little longer to see what to do.”

All that matters is that they are happy and that their children are safe so they can grow up to live their own purpose.
