Every day is always the same thing, we grab our phones and scroll through notifications looking for recognition from everyone else.

We want to make sure our lives are been noticed by other people.

Though we are happy with our significant others, we still are always walking around with our heads down, posting, liking, and sharing.

It’s important to not allow the Internet to take the place of or detract from our relationships with the people we care about.

In our digital world, personal relationships are dying out. No one has meaningful conversations anymore, marriages are falling apart; but why?

Hopefully this article can give you a little bit of insight into what’s happening in your relationship.

People’s feelings of disconnection and alienation from reality is often caused by their own devices. If we would just look up from time to time, we would see the opportunities to engage the world.

In our relationships, we can start to choose to become too focused on someone other than our partner. It starts with small acts of neglect, choosing to text someone else, instead of your partner.

Choosing to talk to someone else about your day or feelings. It all builds up various personas, detracting energy and focus from our real relationships.

Distancing yourself from devices can be your start to help make your life feel freer. Constant updates and information about the lives of others, can detract you from your life and make you question the validity of your life.

Control Yourself

Changing your routine can save a relationship. Show your partner that your love is true. Paying attention to your partner is an important element.

Reciprocate the attention they show you. Opening yourself to the here and now, can help build a great foundation for your relationship.

It helps the two of you acknowledge all the bits and pieces of your relationship. Never do anything that you would hesitate to show your love.

Show Your Other Half

The cyber world can be very controlling and can consume lives. Looking at it every now and then is never a bad thing. The best thing you can do in your relationship is make an effort.

Plan a date out and surprise them. When you are with them, truly be with them. When you are apart, send them reminders that you love and are thinking about them.

Do your best to solidify a sense of belonging and support outside of the digital world.
