A U.K. couple who met under astonishing odds are carrying on the reason for their first encounter, though neither were able to remember it at the time.

Jack Richardson and Bronwyn Tacey were both born prematurely at Queen's Medical Center in Nottingham, England, in 1994. Their parents, all stressed with the respective yet similar dangers their babies were facing, bonded during their time at the hospital together.

"Jack was in intensive care. He was in there for a year with numerous hospital appointments," Tacey told SWNS. “It was touch and go whether we would both make it. It's a complete miracle that we are both here.”

"I had growth hormone injections until I was 16 to ensure I was not really short," she added.

The connection their parents remained even after both babies were able to go home, with Jack and Bronwyn becoming childhood friends.

Though, as time passed, the families would drift apart, the two eventually attending different schools and making other friends. They would sometimes meet to celebrate birthdays or catch up, but otherwise, they set out to live their own lives.

That was until 2021. Bronwyn posted a photo to social media that Jack was completely captured by.

"I [was pictured with] my hair done and he messaged me on Facebook," she explained, saying that Jack would bring up the subject of dating not long after.

She decided to take him up on it, and both knew almost immediately that they were "right for each other." These two miracle babies who met in their first days of life grew up to be the perfect couple.

Only two years later, Bronwyn and Jack revealed that they were going to have a baby. Jack's mom, Helen, reportedly "couldn't quite believe it."

"It was just amazing. The first person he met is the person he's got a baby with," she said.

Bronwyn had their baby, Sienna, at the very same hospital she and Jack met in almost 30 years ago. Luckily, this time, there were no complications to be had; Sienna had a clean bill of health.

The two admit the way they met might be considered "strange," but it's still magical nonetheless, even inspiring for those who believe in the strength of these lifelong connections.

However, Browyn also admits that she "[doesn't] know anyone else or any other relationships that are like this."

"It's a great partnership. We’re like best friends as well as partners. It’s the best of both worlds. We just get each other, finish each other’s sentences. We know what each other is thinking before we say it," she said.

“Just feels really natural to be together.”
