As we're all creatures under the same starry sky, astrological predictions apply to more than just us humans. That's right, even animals have a zodiac sign, and the sign can affect their character! This is especially true for domesticated animals who we humans have grown to love and trust, meaning we have an easier time reading their feelings and seeing their unique personalities.
For example, cats' traits and methods of showing affection can be greatly influenced by the star sign they were born under, leading them into one of these four categories!
The Big Personalities
The first group are what I'd call the 'big personalities' of the cat zodiac, those being Leo, Aries, and Scorpio. A cat under any of these signs is sure to be a bold and energetic addition to any household.
Leo cats are known to be charismatic and attention-seeking, so it's no surprise that they're considered the 'King of the Jungle' of the cat astrology world. They are strong-willed, independent, and creative and thrive in homes that offer a lot of stimulation and attention.
Aries cats are natural adventurers, always seeking out new places to explore. They love a challenge, so having a few fun toys or activities around the house can help keep them occupied. Even when they're not playing, Aries cats are often the life of the party and love being the center of attention, even if it means getting into some mischief.
Lastly, Scorpio cats are known for their...let's call it opinionated nature. They’re not shy about voicing their opinions and can be quite persuasive. Scorpio cats can be intensely loyal to their owners, but like to pretend they aren't, able to switch on a dime between wanting plenty of cuddles and dodging pets. Don't worry, it's just dramatics! They do still love their owners fiercely.
The Mysterious Type
Next is Virgo, Cancer, and Sagittarius, which are dubbed the 'mysterious type'. This trio of cats is known to possess an enchanting, enigmatic aura that often makes them appear elusive, secretive, and hard to comprehend.
The Virgo cat is often seen in a philosophical light. These cats thrive in solitude and don't often like too much attention. They prefer quiet moments of contemplation and typically prefer to own the headspace of any room they enter. Virgo cat's mystery lies in that it can be hard to ascertain what they are thinking or feeling.
Cancer cats are deeply intuitive and often act as the keepers of the collective consciousness. Often found close to water and drawn to its calming presence, the Cancer cat seeks solace in nature, so (supervised) outdoor time is highly recommended for them. Cancer cats are often thought of as having an underlying intuition or a connection to something larger.
Finally, the Sagittarius cat is often portrayed as a wanderer of sorts - they are curious, exploratory, and drawn to the potential mysteries of the world. Sagittarius cats often appear to know things on a level that other cats don't, sometimes denoting intelligence, but sometimes just displaying better observational skills.
The Loving Type
Then there are the 'loving type' cat signs, Taurus, Capricorn, and Pisces. Cats under these signs generally have a capacity for more affection, but they also have their own unique qualities.
Taurus cats are usually strong-willed and relatively independent creatures, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t affectionate. Taurus cats will often be protective of their owners, following them around and observing them carefully. They are fond of long cuddles and the occasional headbutt and may even jump onto your lap to show their love. They enjoy being petted or brushed, and they can also be very vocal in their display of affection.
Capricorn cats also have a strong sense of loyalty and protectiveness, deeply devoted to their families. They're a little more elusive in their affection, only letting it shine sometimes, but when they do, it's an absolute cuddlefest. A bond with a Capricorn cat might take a little longer to forge, but over time, they will find their own way to express their love.
Finally, Pisces cats are the most loving and compassionate of the 'loving type' cats. They are often very sensitive and intuitively know how their owners are feeling. They will often shy away from loud noises and people they don’t know at first, but they will quickly open up if they feel safe and secure with those around them. Pisces cats are often fiercely dedicated to their families, willingly offering their comfort and affection as needed.
The Quirky Cute
Lastly, there's the 'quirky cute' category that contains Libra, Aquarius, and Gemini. These cats are a little different and silly in their own way, and that's what makes them so special to us!
Libra cats are known to be social, outgoing, and most of all, fun-loving. They enjoy interacting with humans and playing with toys. They're not overly affectionate though and will get easily overstimulated by a long petting session, but are always in the mood to play, so you might need to shift how you express your own love for them.
Aquarius cats are known to be independent, curious, and very observant; they’re always looking around, and studying their environment. They're one of the more independent cat signs, but do have the potential to become overly attached to one person. They're a very all-or-nothing sign when it comes to their affection.
Gemini cats are known to be talkative, friendly, and very active. They’re constantly on the go, whether they’re running around or playing with their owners. They can also be quite vocal, filling their home with their yowling and chirping. Even so, Gemini cats are highly likable, certainly one of the more popular cat signs for their personality.
