Weddings seem to be the perfect breeding ground for family drama. Tensions are high, two families are merging into one, and there's often years of history and past issues that get brought to these events as people don't know how to let things go or put them aside for one day.
What about family drama that begins at a wedding, though? While less common, it can happen, and when it does, the impact it leaves behind is far bigger and runs far deeper than your usual fight.
Finding a love that won't disappoint or bring unneeded trouble wherever you go can seem impossible, but it can happen! You just might have to employ a few tactics that will help you guarantee a high-quality man.

Weddings are generally kind of stressful, even if everything goes smoothly right from the jump. There's a lot of pressure involved! Wanting to make the day enjoyable for your guests while also wanting to best represent, honor, and solidify your relationship with the one you love, it's a lot to juggle.
That stress affects everybody differently, but there is a notorious term for brides who get way too cranky about their big day, bridezilla. Plenty of guests, grooms, and bridesmaids have stories about bridezillas they've encountered, but none quite live up to the tale shared by one anonymous bridesmaid online.
In a post on the WeddingShaming subreddit, a user dropped by and shared the absolute horror story that followed the cancellation of a wedding in which she was a bridesmaid, saying every issue that came up was entirely the bride's fault.
She shares that her friend, Dana, was supposed to get married to her fiancé, Josh, but according to this bridesmaid, the whole wedding was a disaster right from the start. She then listed just a few wild things she and the rest of the bridal party were made to deal with.
This included asking each bridesmaid to drop $2,000 on their dresses because she wanted specific ones, the fact that Josh was not allowed to invite any single women (that weren't his relatives), the bride accusing one bridal party member who doesn't drink of being pregnant in front of everyone, and tried to make people cancel their family holiday plans so they could go to a destination bachelorette party.
That's far from all that happened, though. There was tons of other drama surrounding the wedding, but the worst of all is what happened on the day of.
"The day started horrible. Dana was having a meltdown because apparently the flower girl had to cancel because she has chickenpox. She was threatening to sue the mother unless she brought this sick three years old to the wedding. Josh apparently was able to calm her down from this starter outburst and we began preparations," the bridesmaid wrote.
"The whole day she had constant outbursts. She made people cry. Like, wedding staff and bridesmaids."
"I for the most part took the easy route and decided to work outside the bridal suit like checking flowers, making sure food was okay. Basically any excuse NOT to be around bride. Eventually I had my make up and hair done, then the bride asked for a little bit of time alone to 'decompress' from the stress. We didn't even fight it, you could not see a group of women run faster away."
This happened just 30 minutes before the wedding, but everything else was in order so she figured it would be fine.
That is until five minutes before the ceremony was set to begin. That's when the maid of honor walked in to say the wedding was canceled.
When the author of the post asked what happened, the most shocking response imaginable came next. "Dana was having a 'quickie' with Josh's uncle in the room. Josh caught them."
She was in shock. "I just stared at the MoH with my mouth pretty much about to reach the floor. She told me to run and that she was trying to get as many people out before things exploded. So I quickly got my purse, gathered the two bridesmaid that were carpooling with me, and we left like the devil was after us. I checked with the other bridesmaid and all had escaped."
Later that night, she called the maid of honor to see how things shook out, and it was not pretty. "Apparently and rightfully, Josh called off the wedding, called her a few names, told off his uncle, and has since left with his mates to I hope have the biggest single man party ever."
She then said that she hoped the best for Josh as he was an "absolute gem," but that's not all. "He apparently also told Dana and her parents that she will be paying the cancellation fees. According to MoH, Dana's father told her in front of everyone that she was paying it on her own."
Dana wasn't as keen on that idea as everyone else, though. After thinking that story would be the end of things, the author said she got a text just a few days after demanding that she pay Dana $5,000 to help with the cancellation fees. "According to Dana, it was our duty as the bridal party to pay her cancellation fees."
"I obviously told her no and that she might as well lose my number. I am never speaking to this woman again. This has been pretty much the reaction of all bridesmaids and the MoH. By the way, MoH? Josh's older sister."
The comments were in shock about the whole story, and rightfully so. Watching one person not only be a total bridezilla and make everyone's lives stressful for months leading up to the wedding, but to then destroy the wedding they spent all the time working toward, it's absurd! Though many did point out that her controlling nature (especially about disallowing Josh to invite single female guests) was likely projection and manifestations of her own guilt.
When all is said and done, Josh dodged a major bullet, and now all these bridesmaids have a story they will never forget.
