We all have a certain level of control we like to maintain, and that level often changes depending on what area of life you're looking at. Some people love to have leading, managerial roles at work but can easily let their house become a mess, while others need everything at home to be tidy but can happily work the lowest-tier role at their company.
This can be broken down even further, with some events or moments bringing out the control freak in all of us. A common example of this is weddings, as some couples plan their wedding with an iron fist and hope that everyone else follows suit.
Finding a love that's ready to last a lifetime takes work, and you might feel like giving up on a relationship as soon as it runs into its first roadblock.

When planning a wedding, the couple holds the hope that everything will be perfect. They want their beautiful, picturesque day, commemorating their love for one another, surrounded by the people they care about most.
In that effort, though, some go a little too far. They have strange guidelines, strict rules, and unreasonable expectations of their guests, sapping all the fun that's supposed to happen at a wedding. There was a recent example of this that went viral online when one wedding guest shared the peculiar request she was given in her invite.
The tweet, from a woman named Nicole, said that the invite contained "instructions for wedding guest attire," listing five colors that guests were told not to wear as they would be the colors of the wedding party.
There was white, the common and widely accepted color to never wear at someone else's wedding, but there was also light green, dusty pink, khaki, and dusty pink. Above the palette were the words "please do not wear these colors" in all capitals.
Nicole herself was not a fan of the demand, also writing in her tweet, "I get the request not to wear white (only sort of though because it's Miami and it’s hot and it’s an outdoor wedding) but the rest? Lol. Get out of here." She closed the tweet with a short but stern, "I’m not going."
Her account has since gone private, but not before thousands of people chimed in with their thoughts on the matter, with people voicing both their support and annoyance.
As one user wrote, "No khaki for men is frankly ridiculous. It's a default suit color for a lot of men, it’s a warm weather outdoor wedding so it’s even more desirable, and absolutely no one cares if the groomsmen match with a guest if it’s a standard suit color."
"Why would you care what color will your guests wear? I get it about the white, but besides that I would be happy to see you at my wedding no matter what you wear. [It's] supposed to be a day filled with love and happiness, thinking about clothes is kind of nonesense," said another.

There were plenty of people on the bride's side, though, not seeing the big deal in the request.
"I would never have thought of requesting something like this but also don't think it’s unreasonable at all? People are always questioning what is and isn’t appropriate to wear to weddings and I think this helps a lot," reads the top reply, with many others sharing the same sentiment.
Like another response that said, "I mean this request honestly seems really reasonable to me. That's only four colors guests aren't supposed to wear (I'm not counting white bc that's a no-brainer), and the most obvious go-to, the little black dress, is still an option. There are so many colors still available."
Your opinion on the request may vary, but in the end, it is their wedding, and they're allowed to organize it however they see fit. If someone doesn't want to follow those rules, that's fine. Part of the reason the rules are there is to filter out the people who will potentially ruin your perfect day.
Though, there was some fun wedding drama shared in the replies as well as this story that reminds us all things could always be cattier. "I went to a wedding once where a guest wore white... she ended up with wine on her dress and I don't think it was an accident."
