In the United States, approximately half of marriages end in divorce and the average relationship now lasts just 2 years. These days, people aren’t as happy as they used to be either.
With that being the case, more and more particularly young people are looking to relationships as a source of joy, but joy comes from within.
Thus we have many couples that aren’t happy and aren’t doing well. What are the 8 hard truths of truly happy couples?
Relationships are work from the day they begin to the day they eventually end. There will always be little things that need work, and that’s fine.
In working through small issues, you’ll become closer.

It’s true. Sometimes loving someone means you don’t move across country to take a job. Sometimes it means you put some of your goals on hold.
These aren’t bad things. Some things are more important.
As an individual, you work for yourself. In a relationship, however, you’re working WITH someone else.
Your relationship becomes the unit. Everything done is for the betterment of the relationship. It’s key to keeping both parties happy.
You don’t ever enter a relationship with clear communication skills. Everyone communicates differently.
What you’ll need to do is learn how your partner communicates their thoughts and do what you can to make sure lines of communication are always open.

It stinks, but it’ll happen. You’ll misspeak. You’ll say the wrong thing. They’ll do the same. What’s needed more than anything else is the ability to take a deep breath, chill the heck out, and listen, deeply listen, to the clarifications.
I don’t think we ever reach an age where we are no longer growing and changing.
Sometimes we change the right way, sometimes not. In a relationship, all you can hope to do is help your partner change in the direction they want to.
You can’t force it.
Someone close to me once repeated that they were terrified of losing me. In the end, they lost me, and part of the reason was because they were afraid of losing me.
That fear led them to do things they otherwise wouldn’t which eventually drove me away. You can’t be needy. You can’t be clingy. It’ll end a relationship.
That’s just it, friends. Nothing lasts forever. No relationship lasts forever. If you don’t break up or end up in a divorce, the relationship is over when the first of you dies.
But it’s not something that distresses truly happy couples. They get this cold, hard fact of life and make every moment of life count because of it.
In any relationship, always look at how you feel and ask yourself: does this person make you love yourself more? Do you want to grow old with them?
Love is more than just kisses and butterflies, it’s much more than that. If you want to know more on what your birth chart reveals about how you love and what you need out of a partner, check outthis personalized report based on date of birth.
