​”Is manifesting even real you ask?” Well, that’s a great question! To answer that, let’s break down what manifestation really is at its core. Think of it like a formula: Intention + action + energy = results. That means that intention alone is not enough, and even action alone is not either. For manifesting to work you have to first know what it is that you want out of life, then you can start visualizing it, and creating your intention.. This will set you in the right mindset to take appropriate action towards making it happen. Then leave the little bit left to the universe to make sure the rest aligns.

We all have the innate power to manifest, that is, to turn a thought or an idea, no matter how unachievable it may seem in the moment, into reality. It’s all about materializing it. Think of it on a lower scale. What do you do when you’re hungry? You decide that you’re going to make food and with that intention you cook it, or buy it and go from thinking that you want to eat to actually eating. Now think bigger and bigger.

Intention For Action

The reason why manifesting works is that it’s not entirely magic. You don’t just think of what you want and then cross your arms and sit at home doing nothing, then expect the universe to bring it to you. Manifesting means being a visionary, and dreaming as big as your heart’s desire. It’s knowing that your potential is limitless and that you can go as far as you let yourself go because you are the only way standing in your own way. It means taking risks and seeking opportunities. Intention alone is nothing. You need to take action.

For example, let’s say you ask for true love and the universe manages to put you in the right place at the right time with your soulmate. Despite having the intention of meeting them if you don’t actually find the courage to go talk to them and ask them out then nothing will happen. Just like your efforts can only go so far within your control, so can the universe’s energy. However, by combining the two, your action and its energy once there is a clear intention, the sky becomes the limit!

Okay But How?

The problem with manifesting is that the bigger you dream, the more work it is. Asking for small tangible things is easy, but asking for big things like love or promotion takes more steps and that’s when a lot of people give up. So to stay on track and keep practicing manifestation, here are a couple of things you could do.

First, to solidify your intention, you could make a vision board. You can keep referring to this whenever you lose track of your purpose and your desires. You could also journal to keep track of your progress and keep yourself accountable for the steps you’re taking for action. Another suggestion is to take pictures along the way to make sure you celebrate all the wins and take note of every step that brings you closer to the end goal. Make use of this time before we’re stuck dealing with another planetary retrograde. Although retrogrades have their own power and lessons, they are often full of emotion, drama, delays and obstacles that can distract you from your goals. Take this time to make a plan of action so that when we do enter the Pluto retrograde, you can stay focused and be less affected.

These are optimum conditions so don’t let them go to waste. Keep in mind that when planets are direct like they are, they affect our lives in outward and tangible ways, but when we’re in retrogrades, there is a push for us to grow internally.
